Parent-Child Classes - a four weeks course

A slow space to watch your child grow

- by Auður Zoëga from Intentional Arc

You love watching your baby discover the world, but it's hard to know how much to step in, how much to step back, or what they actually need from you in any given moment. Parenting books offer rules; your gut sometimes says something different. You're looking for a way to trust yourself more, not a new set of instructions to follow.

Psychotherapist, Auður Zoëga, will be leading parent-child classes in small groups, once a week, grounded in RIE, Pikler, and the Neufeld Approach. A place to sit back, observe, and connect with other families on the same path.

Each class explores

  • How everyday care (feeding, bathing, dressing) is an opportunity for connection

  • Learning to observe, and what it teaches us about our child and ourselves

  • Uninterrupted play, and what it means for your child’s development

  • Letting your baby move and develop at their own pace

  • Creating a calm, unhurried environment at home

  • Rhythm, routine, and setting limits with warmth

Details for October

  • Suitable for pre-mobile babies

  • Mondays 5, 12, 19 & 26 October

  • 10:45–11:45am

  • $250 for four weeks

  • The Red Door Studio, 5 Blackwood Parade, Heidelberg West
